Environment Agency Natural Capital Condition Indicator Mapping Phase 1 Evidence Review

This evidence review explored the natural capital condition and ecosystem service evidence base available for rivers in England with an aim to support the mapping of riverine natural capital condition and resulting ecosystem service provision. It undertook a Quick Scoping Review of scientific literature, created data flow charts, examined mapping methodologies and gathered information through participatory workshops. Its findings will help the Environment Agency and others to understand the links between river condition and delivery of ecosystem services, the evidence that supports this, approaches to mapping this, and the evidence gaps to target.
