Modelled Abstraction Reductions - National Framework for Water Resources 2025
Summary
Spreadsheet showing modelled range of potential reductions to abstraction licence quantities that may be needed to meet environmental flow requirements for each water body in England. These percentage reductions are based on national scale modelling, so they won’t be the final answer for each water body. The data can be used to help abstractors consider the scale of future change that may be needed for their abstraction licence. The data is a starting point for planning and doesn't confirm that any particular licence in an area needs to be reduced to protect the environment.
UPDATE: Version 1.2 created 10/9/25 to correct the 2080 Upper Values
